National
Fire Prevention Week is observed October 8-12. This would be an ideal time to discuss fire
safety at home, check smoke detectors, and set up an escape plan and a family
meeting place in case of a fire.

5, 8 and 9, 2012 is our scheduled Fall Break. Classes will not be held on these days and
the Administrative Office will be closed.
Classes will resume on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 8:30 a.m.

October 17, 2012 is Afternoon of Montessori. The topic for this afternoon is “Watch Me Work”. This is an opportunity to see some of the
things your child has been learning in class.
The classrooms will be open and the children will be showing their work.

Afternoon of Montessori is scheduled from 3:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m.

October 19, 2012 is a School Beautification Day from
1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. This is a way to volunteer your time and help the
school community. There will be various maintenance projects to help with! We
need your help! Please consider saving this day to help beautify our school!

October 24 is Early Release.
Aftercare will begin promptly at
11:30 a.m. Your child will not need a
lunch unless they are staying for Aftercare.

The virtues our school community is focusing
on in October are determination,
service, thoughtfulness, and tact. Try practicing these virtues with your children
at home. Ask your child what they can
tell you about these virtues.
